Serenity is a white work band sampler done in the Ukrainian white work style embroidery. (I can't truly call it Ukrainian as I have added some stitches that are not historically used in Ukrainian white work.) It was designed to fit in a standard 8 x 10 inch frame with a 5 x 7 mat when worked on 32 count fabric. Different counts of fabric will fit in the 8 x 10 frame, but not with a mat. It is worked using pearl cotton, which is readily available. It uses many different stitches and is best enjoyed by those with some experience in needle work.
