Tomorrow is another big day for me. It is my 49th birthday. Really. Not 49 and holding. The real 49. When we were going through security at the Greenville airport this morning, the TSA agent wished me a happy birthday. How fun is that?
This has been one whirlwind of a week. On Sunday Randy and I flew down to Greenville, SC. We met with a realtor and spent Monday and Tuesday looking at neighborhoods and touring houses. On Wednesday WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! I still can't quite grasp it. We have been planning to move for a few years, but now it is real. It is a new house in a new subdivision in Simpsonville which if just out side Greenville. I am thrilled to be headed to a place where winter is a minor inconvenience, not a way of life. There are many people and places I will miss in Minnesota. I'll write more about those later.

I love needle work. And my family. And my cat. Not necessarily in that order. I've been married 27 years, been a mother for 23 years, had my cat for 16 years, and started doing needlework before any of those began.
I am not a writer. I think my problem with my previous blog was trying to do lovely, long, perfectly worded posts every time. Which is why I didn't post often. These posts will be shorter and will probably venture into the stream of consciousness realm form time to time. And there will be lots of photos of my needlework and my cat. They don't complain about having their pictures taken! For today I will leave you with a photo of Taz. Sunbeams really are like narcotics for a cat! |
AuthorTerri Bay is a needlework teacher, designer, wife, and mother. This blog will probably contain bits about all of the above - especially the furry member of the household. (The cat, that is) Archives
