I am sitting here enjoying the view from the porch of my new house. The view is lovely and very quiet. It will be changing quite a bit over the next few years as more and more houses are built. I think I'll take a picture every month or so just to keep a record of the changes. I am in love with my new house, town, and state. So far everything we find makes us even happier that we are making this move. Now I just have to go back to Minnesota and sell our other house. There are many people, places, and things I will miss, but it is time for some new horizons.
I had the privilege of teaching two classes at the Heartland EGA Regional Seminar at the end of April. I must say that these were two of the best groups of students that I have taught. They were hard workers and quick learners! And thankfully, everyone was at the right skill level for the class. It is so difficult to teach when you have a beginner signed up for an advanced class. That was not a problem here. The seminar committee did a great job of choosing a location with wonderful natural light. I can easily forgive the sluggish elevators and tiny bathrooms when the stitching rooms have great light.
Next I'm off to teach at the Carolina Regional Seminar. I've already been in contact with several of the ladies in that class and it looks to be another great group. Yes, I really do love teaching. If you are curious about where I will be teaching in the future, I've put a list of classes and seminars on my Teaching Info page. Here are photos of the projects taught at Heartland: |
